Amy Gander

Associate Director for Operations and Strategic Partnerships

Amy is our Associate Director for Operations and Strategic Partnerships, bringing more than a decade of experience across international development, humanitarian programming, advocacy, organisational management and strategic partnerships. At the Coalition, she leads work to strengthen our organisational effectiveness, systems and ways of working, while developing strategic relationships and partnerships that support CGP’s growth and impact.

Prior to joining us at the Coalition, she worked for CAFOD; the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development. During her time at CAFOD Amy worked across various teams, leading the development of donor-funded humanitarian programmes (such as with the EU, START Fund and DEC). Her work has taken her to challenging and insecure environments, where she provided technical advice, programme expertise and stakeholder support to teams working in complex contexts.

Alongside her role at CGP, Amy has held senior governance and organisational roles, including supporting CAFOD as Governance Manager in 2024. She brings particular expertise in organisational strategy, governance, planning, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and building the systems and relationships needed to turn organisational ambitions into effective delivery.

Amy holds an MSc in Nutrition for Global Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (ANutr), and a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from Queen Mary, University of London. She is an ambassador for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, became an Aspen UK Rising Leaders Fellowship in 2023 and subsequently joined the Aspen UK Fellowship Advisory Board. In 2026, she was selected for the Strategy International Future Leaders Group.
