Future Leaders Visit to Sri Lanka

March 2024

The Coalition for Global Prosperity were delighted to host a group of our Future Leaders Programme participants for a visit to Sri Lanka to see the impact of UK International Development in the region.

On the delegation were Jane MacBean (CON), Shazna Muzammil (CON), Sam Ruthworth (LAB), Jamila Robertson (CON) and Johnson Situ (LAB). For the visit, we partnered with the Halo Trust and the British Council to show the full range of UK funded projects.

As well as visiting active mine clearance work and educational facilities, the delegation had the opportunity to meet with local community leaders as well as discuss the role the UK plays in Sri Lanka with the UK High Commissioner.
