  • Rennie Room, One Great George Street 1 Great George Street London, England, SW1P 3AA United Kingdom (map)

The recent uplift in defence spending to 2.5% of GDP has been a welcomed decision given the threat to Britain’s security. However this uplift coming at the cost of the aid budget being slashed, has been criticsed by military and development figures alike. Defence is pivotal to both national and international security, particularly with increasing consideration to the world entering a pre-war era with the rise of proxy wars across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
